Job Description
In this full time role, based in Epworth Freemasons (East Melbourne) and at other Epworth sites on occasion (as requested), you will be responsible for providing quality maintenance service, as a qualified trades assistant (General Maintenance), on corrective and preventative tasks. This position covers a 38 hour work week from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00PM
You will be part of the Facilities team and report to the Facilities Supervisor - Freemasons.
You will make an impact by:
- Utilise your skills, knowledge & experience with available resources to effectively maintain plant & equipment.
- Actively liaise and consult with relevant staff members and external contractors to ensure effective communication is maintained.
- Source quotes from suppliers as needed
- Respond promptly and be available for an on-call roster.
- Follow Epworth Values and is guided by the Epworth Strategy.

You will have well-developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with talented team members and able to influence stakeholders at all levels while providing the best in a supportive environment.
You will have:
- At least 5 years experience in a Facilities Maintenance environment.
- Previous experience within Healthcare, retail or property facilities maintenance.
- A commitment to providing a safe environment for patients, medical staff, and colleagues.
- Computer skills, inclusive of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, email (outlook) etc & using file manager to manage files and folders
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- The ability to prioritise tasks taking into consideration the wider operational requirements of the hospital
