Job Description
Epworth HealthCare is seeking a full-time Simulation Coordinator / Technician based at Epworth Richmond. This role supports the delivery of clinical skills and simulation-based education across Epworth HealthCare by providing technical, operational and audio visual support for simulation activities. Working closely with educators, clinicians and external partners, the successful candidate will help deliver high-quality learning experiences that enhance clinical capability, patient safety and healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of clinical skills and simulation education programs.
- Assist Health Professional Education teams with simulation activities for students, clinicians and professional development participants.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to educators and clinicians involved in simulation training.
- Coordinate simulation training programs, equipment, supplies and resources.
- Set up, operate and troubleshoot simulation manikins, medical equipment and audio-visual systems.
- Support scenario testing, simulation delivery and day-to-day simulation centre operations.
- Maintain accurate records of simulation activities, equipment usage and program reporting.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs and vendor support to minimise downtime.
- Ensure compliance with simulation policies, procedures and quality standards.
- Facilitate the transport and preparation of simulation equipment across sites as required.
Occupational Health & Safety
- Comply with all Epworth HealthCare OHS policies, procedures and safe work practices.
- Report hazards, incidents and near misses in RiskMan.
- Participate in mandatory safety training and contribute to workplace safety initiatives.
- Promote a safe, positive and supportive learning and working environment.
Skills & Experience
- Recent experience in a clinical, simulation, technical or audio visual support role.
- High level interpersonal skills in leadership and communication.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in setting up, operating and maintaining medical and simulation equipment to support clinical education and training activities.
- Computer and technical literacy.
- Ability to provide a supportive, safe and inclusive environment for learners and staff.
- Demonstrated ability in managing and evaluating clinical education sessions.

Qualifications
- Health Professional with current AHPRA registration Paramedicine / Theatre Technician / Anaesthetic Technician or Science/Technical degree or tertiary qualification (Health, Exercise Physiology, Computing, Audio Visual or Bio-medical Science) is essential
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable)
- Current Driver’s licence
