Job Description
- Located close to the CBD, public transport links and childcare options
- Monday to Friday, no weekends
- Flexible rotating rostering
The Role
In this full time or part time role, you will be responsible for assisting patients, visitors, medical consultants and staff with general enquiries. As an initial point of contact to the busy 31-Theatre complex, this position will provide excellent customer service via telephone and in-person and will play an active role in ensuring enquiries are answered and resolved in a professional and customer-centred manner. The Theatre Receptionist will also carry out several administrative and basic financial tasks as directed by the Business Manager, the main focus being data entry. Additionally, the Theatre Receptionist will contribute to the overall performance of the Perioperative Services team, ensuring consistency with Epworth’s Values and Behaviours.
Your duties will include;
- Meet and greet patients and third-parties both in person and via phone
- Maintain accurate department records and data entry
- Support department with daily clerical and administrative tasks

You will be a motivated self-starter committed to providing a positive customer experience
You will have:
- Excellent computer skills including all MS Office and able to efficiently learn specialist programs used within the Department
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Highly developed written and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational attributes
- A strong customer service focus
- Administrative experience in a health care setting is desired.
