Job Description

We are seeking Registered Nurses to join our Day Surgery (DOSA) team, with opportunities for full-time or part-time positions based in Richmond.  The position incorporates working across various areas of the department including admissions, holding bay and 2nd stage recovery. 

Shifts are currently scheduled from Monday to Friday between the hours 0600-2300, Saturday between 0600 - 2200 and no night duty required.  On-call duty is required on Sundays and some public holidays for the Holding Bay only. 

You will make an impact by:

  • Ensuring patients and staff are safe through their journey in surgery and recovery
  • Demonstrating advanced decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a varied multidisciplinary team
  • Focus on individualised patient centred care and patient outcomes with a strong focus on family involvement

To be successful in this role:

You will bring a strong clinical skill set in a hospital setting as a trained registered nurse. You will hold a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated clinical skill in a similar area  
  • The ability to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Ability to work a rotating roster of AM / PM shifts (excluding night duty)
  • Cardiac and Paediatric experience desirable but not essential
  • Experience in admissions and discharges in an acute surgical area

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $82,236 - $103,280 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
