Job Description
Epworth HealthCare (Epworth) seeks casual, enthusiastic Registered Nurses with acute experience, to join our high performing and highly valued Central Resource Unit (CRU).
The CRU provides a flexible workforce to support Epworth clinical units. With a choice of sites and specialities available, you will be responsible for the provision of high-quality patient focused care.
With the support of a dedicated CRU educator and courses available through our unique Nursing & Midwifery Academy, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills by working across a wide variety of specialities including orthopaedics, urology, colorectal, vascular, general surgery, ENT, gynaecology, plastics, neurosurgery, complex pain management, general medical/oncology and inpatient rehabilitation.
At a minimum we expect nurses to work across both Epworth Eastern, Hawthorn Rehab, Camberwell Rehab and the option to work across other sites if they choose.

To be successful in this role, you will…
- Have Permanent residency or Australian citizenship
- Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in surgical/medical nursing care and/or midwifery, and the patient journey.
- Have recency of practise in acute, sub acute or midwifery care contexts
- Have excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Be teachable and have a willingness to learn and grow professionally
- Enjoy the challenge of working flexibly within a team environment.
- Possess a strong understanding and background of patient-centred care
- Have the ability to maintain a high level of communication with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Have well-developed time management and prioritisation skills

Qualifications
- A current Registered Nurse AHPRA registration
- Have completed a Graduate Year (by commencement of work) or had 12 months of acute experience since graduation.
- Possess a current Working with Children Check (Employee)
