Epworth Eastern's Ekera Unit, which specialises in IVF procedures, is seeking experienced Registered or Enrolled Perioperative Nurses for permanent part-time positions.

Epworth Ekera is a boutique facility with one operating theatre specialising in IVF procedures and women’s health. We are able to give our patients outstanding care with a fully equipped operating theatre which is part of the Epworth Eastern hospital in an offsite location. We have a small team of IVF doctors, anaesthetists and nurses who work in collaboration to provide an excellent patient journey. We are looking for compassionate nurses to come and join our lovely team. The service is predominately Monday to Friday and short shifts on Saturdays. There is no on call or late shifts, which makes for a flexible work life balance.   

The Role

We are looking for experienced all-rounder with strong anaesthetic experience part time (24 hrs fortnight-short shifts, with the ability to pick up extra shifts via the Shift Match system if desired).  Do you love variety and can work across all areas including basic scrub scout, admission/discharge and recovery (skills in more than one area would be advantageous)? The team here prides themselves on providing our patients with a personalised service where we work closely with the IVF team to achieve outstanding results. Applicants must be dedicated and motivated to provide excellent proactive customer service and patient safety throughout the perioperative journey.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Have a current unrestricted AHPRA nursing registration
  • Be experienced in Perioperative nursing - (DOSA, Anaesthetics PACU and Scrub Scout)
  • Experience with IVF and/or embryo transfer scanning highly regarded
  • Perioperative Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $68,212 - $95,776 + super + entitlements and Enrolled Nurses – AUD $66,094 - $74,667 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
