Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a full-time, Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join the acute allied health team at Richmond.

In this full-time Grade 2 Physiotherapist role, you will be responsible for the provision of physiotherapy services in a 26 bed ICU as well as rotating across the cardiac, CCU, head and neck, thoracic and vascular wards. This role also involves participation in the supervision of junior rotating staff and students as well as involvement in quality initiatives. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm and weekends are 1 in 3 (same hours) with rostered weekdays off in lieu.

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing a high standard of individually tailored clinical care 
  • Integrating allied health into the clinical care team within the inpatient ward
  • Collaborating with other health clinicians to develop and grow services based on best practice
  • Provision of supervision of junior staff and students to support growth and learning
  • Demonstrating excellent communication skills
  • Effectively managing a mixed clinical caseload
  • Participating in personal and professional development opportunities
  • Demonstrating involvement and participation in quality improvement initiatives and projects

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • At least 2 years acute hospital experience in the areas of ICU and cardiorespiratory physiotherapy
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • A flexible mindset to meet the many clinical needs of patients
  • The natural ability to be proactive and responsive to changing patient profiles and service demands
  • An ability to participate in rotating rosters, including some weekend shifts

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor or Post Graduate Degree in Physiotherapy with current AHPRA registration
