Job Description
The Program at Epworth
Successful applicants for our Maternity 2024 Post-Graduate Program will be joining our amazing team of midwives, extending their professional skills and knowledge within the specialized field of midwifery. You will be supported, guided, and coached throughout the program by designated Clinical Educators and senior clinicians.
Commencing February 2025, you will be working on a rotating roster whilst completing a Graduate Diploma in collaboration with La Trobe University. This is a 0.8 EFT position, with 0.5 EFT as a paid model, and 0.3 EFT as a supernumerary student model (unpaid).
Once you have been notified of a successful application for a postgraduate position with Epworth you will need to apply directly to the agreed University, which is through a separate process.
Targeted funding to support course costs will be available for successful scholarship applicants.

You will have:
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency; OR New Zealand Citizenship
- You will have a minimum of one year of acute clinical Nursing experience following your graduate year

- An exceptional private hospital located in East Melbourne
- Work across Postnatal, Birth Suite, Special Care Nursery, and the Antenatal Doctors' Rooms
- 34 Postnatal Beds, 9 Birth Suite rooms, and a level 4 Special Care Nursery with 10 monitored beds, and 4 hospital in the hotel beds.
- Supported by our 24-hour ICU, 18 theatres across our Clarendon Street and Victoria Parade site
- Hands-on Educational support, reinforced with various educational models and the use of our Educational Simulation Centre.

- Current AHPRA Nursing Registration
