Job Description
Epworth Eastern has an amazing opportunity to join our wonderful team on a permanent full-time basis as a Theatre Technician, Grade 5, reporting to the Grade 6 Theatre Technician Manager.
Join our dynamic team that is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience with a focus on safety first. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and patient care. You will also work closely with the Technician manager to help foster and grow new and existing technicians.
You will make an impact by:
- Working with the grade 6 technician manager to help in the development and implementation of rosters that optimise staff skill mix to ensure the provision of timely, safe, high quality patient care and simultaneously enables training requirements of staff to be met.
- Positive role model to all levels of staff in terms of commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, assist and support organisational change.
- Your expertise and attention detail will help create a safe and effective working environment for the patients and team members.
To be successful in this role:
We are looking for someone who is a good communicator with a natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients. You should be professional in your work, have a strong attention to detail, and be quick to learn and adapt.
- Completed a Certificate IV Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Support)
- Minimum 4 years clinical experience as a Theatre Technician
- Dedicated to coaching and developing theatre technicians
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Effectively manage high-performing teams and foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

The annual salary range for Theatre Technicians – AUD $76,254 - $77,365 + super + entitlements dependent on year level (prorated for part-time).
