Job Description

We have exciting part-time (0.8), permanent role available in Geelong. Management opportunities to apply your robust leadership experience and skills to the continued growth of our 30 bed Orthopaedic inpatient unit, providing excellent care to patients, including Complex Pain specialties. As part of the leadership team, you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager – Orthopaedics..

Key areas of focus for this role include:

  • Delivering an exceptional experience to our patients and their families
  • Ensuring patient flow is managed whilst providing high standards of patient care
  • Working collaboratively with our nursing, medical and allied health teams

For you to be successful in these roles…

You will either be in an ANUM role or looking to step into an ANUM role with ideally, 4 years of orthopaedic or acute surgical experience (desirable). You are a great communicator, flexible in your approach and have natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients and their families. You will be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical. You are highly accountable and demonstrate a strong supportive and engaging style. You’re keen to progress your career, learn how to lead a unit and are open to mentoring and accessing internal education and development programs that support your journey.

You will bring the following::

  • Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
  • Have recent experience as a clinical leader
  • Be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong, supportive and engaging style
  • Have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a positive and versatile approach to embrace growth and change
  • Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in surgical procedures 
  • Hold a current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Post Graduate certificate in Orthopaedic Nursing and/or Management (desirable)

The annual salary range for full time ANUM – AUD $107,462.33 - $110,966.54 + super + entitlements ,depending on registration type, year level and position (prorated for part-time).
