Job Description

In this permanent part time (potential for full time by negotiation) role, based in Richmond, you will be responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and research across the Epworth Healthcare organisation. You will be part of the Academic and Medical Services team and report to the Executive Director Academic and Medical Services/Chief Medical Officer.

This role will be Deputy to the Chief Medical Officer.

You will make an impact by:

  • Deputising for the Chief Medical Officer
  • Building on Epworth’s Medical Education and Research capability
  • Providing strong leadership to ensure Medical Education and Research is delivered in a cohesive Epworth wide framework.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders including Doctors, Universities, Colleges, and students and researchers along with other Epworth staff and external partners to lead academic services across Epworth Healthcare.

You will have:

  • MBBS- and current AHPRA registration
  • Experience as a senior leader in a major health service/s
  • Higher degree in Education and or Research
  • Post graduate training in Leadership/management / Fellowship of the Royal College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA)
  • Sound knowledge of the health industry
