Job Description

We are very excited to offer a highly sought-after casual Grade 1 Dietitian position to join our Allied Health team at Epworth Eastern!

In this casual role, you will be responsible for providing optimal Dietetic services & positive clinical outcomes to patients, to ensure positive long-term health & well being outcomes. To be successful in this role you must be a passionate & highly motivated Dietitian, committed to evidence based & multidisciplinary care.

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing nutrition advice, support, counselling and education to patients and their family/carers
  • Actively participating as a member of the department and multidisciplinary team
  • Ensuring quality activities & opportunities for improvement are actively explored and holistic best practice care achieved
  • Participating in ongoing professional development by upgrading clinical competencies and knowledge and participating in both internal and external educational opportunities
  • Demonstrating empathy and compassion and encouraging patient and family members participation in all stages of care
  • Being committed to evidenced-based, patient centred care across acute clinical dietetics

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous acute hospital experience (desirable)
  • The ability to work with key stakeholders to deliver superior patient care and outcomes
  • A quality and risk focused approach to clinical practice, patient care and decision making
  • Strong work ethic and time management skills
  • Commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience

Located in Box Hill, Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility with 14 theatres and expansion of ICU to 12 beds. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology and endoscopy services. Our redeveloped site delivers positive, meaningful, and sustainable impact on the health and wellbeing of our community, delivering much needed health care services and facilities in Melbourne's east.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor / Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
  • Eligibility for full membership with Dietitians Association Australia
  • Eligible for the APD program
