Job Description

In this role you will be part of the Patient Services Centre and report to the Patient Services Manager. You will be responsible for both the front and back-of-office administration processes to the hospital. The role is available to full time, part time and casual applicants and based at Epworth Eastern – Box Hill, on a rotating 7 day roster with shifts between 6:00am and 10:00pm.

You will make an impact by:

  • Processing patients prior to hospital admission
  • Assisting patients, visitors and medical specialists with admission and discharge related enquiries
  • Providing excellent customer service when working in the main or ward reception
  • Completing ad hoc bookings for unplanned / after-hours admissions
  • Completing other activities including health fund validations, estimates, patient attendance scheduling and performing informed financial consent

  • Previous demonstrated experience in a similar administration role
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Healthcare experience
  • Accurate and speedy data entry skills
  • Relationship and people management skills
