Job Description

In this Full time ongoing role, based in Richmond, you will join the P&C Assist team providing Tier 1 HR support to our managers and employees. You are the first point of contact for all employment queries and will be part of the group-wide People & Culture Business Partnering team, ensuring you have opportunity to learn and grow your HR skills. This opportunity is well suited to an early-career individual or recent HR Graduate who is ready to build on their career in HR in a supportive and hardworking team.

You will make an impact by:

  • Partnering with P&C Assist colleagues to resolve enquiries in a professional, timely, sensitive, customer-focused manner.
  • Responding to Tier 1 enquiries from employees and people leaders. 
  • Empowering employees and people leaders to access Tier 0 self-services.
  • Coordinating and processing employee variations and ad hoc P&C projects

You will be comfortable taking on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks and be a high energy individual with a growth mindset. Most importantly, you will be a problem solver and have the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.

You will:

  • be proactive and able to self-manage your time
  • have an inquiring mind and enjoy a fast-paced and varied role
  • be tech-savvy and comfortable using different technology/systems (iChris, Freshservice, SmartRecruiters, and Cognology desirable)
  • actively seek to learn more about the HR function and be motivated to build your HR career
  • hold or be significantly advanced in gaining Human Resources (or business) qualifications and previous experience in Human Resources (HR Shared Services experience is desirable)

You will have:

  • a good understanding of and ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements and employment legislation
  • excellent communication and organisational skills
  • the ability to work as part of a lean, hard-working, and close-knit team
  • a strong commitment to continuous improvement
  • experience working in healthcare (desirable)
