Job Description

We have full-time, part time, and casual opportunities available for motivated qualified/unqualified Theatre Technicians to join our dynamic Perioperative Team at Epworth Geelong.

You will make an impact by:

  • Assisting clinicians and team members with patient preparation
  • Preparing and maintaining operating suite equipment
  • Providing safe patient transport within the operating suite and interdepartmental transfers
  • Having an inclusive mindset to thrive in a multi-cultural environment

To be successful in this role…

You want to join a dynamic team who are committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience with a focus on safety-first. You are a good communicator with a natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients. Professional in your work, you have a strong attention to detail and are quick to learn and adapt.

You will have:

  • A Certificate III in health services assistance operating theatre tech equivalent or willingness to complete 
  • Be flexible, with good communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • An understanding of medical terminology and be able to fulfil the technical requirements of the role
  • Have best practice in delivering patient centred care
  • Have well-developed understanding of relevant safe work practices

The annual salary range for Theatre Technicians – AUD $60,000 - $65,000 + super + entitlements dependent on year level (prorated for part-time).
