Job Description

Epworth’s Sports and Exercise Medicine Group is a specialised medical centre offering an extensive service for the diagnosis, management and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries which may occur in sporting, recreational or domestic circumstances.

As our Practice Manager (full time parental leave cover 12 months commencing June) reporting to the Operations Manager - Patient and Administration Services, you will oversee the running of the Epworth Sports and Exercise Medicine Group efficiently and effectively, providing a high level of patient care and customer service.

You will make an impact by:

  • Ensure comprehensive customer-focused service is delivered to both internal and external customers
  • Manage all aspects of Staffing, recruitment and department rostering
  • Provide strong team leadership and ensure delivery of all training requirements
  • Operationalise the organisation’s Strategic vision

To be successful in this role…

You will have:

  • Practice Management experience in a service-oriented environment
  • Strong financial management experience
  • Extensive Medical software experience and a willingness to learn new systems
  • Strong working knowledge of medical and radiology terminology
  • Strong computer literacy, including ability to utilise databases, proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Prepared to commit to Epworth’s Vision and Values
  • Proven commitment to continuous improvement practices
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • High level of discretion and understanding of privacy issues
  • Passionate about patient centred care
  • Demonstrate a strong, supportive, collaborative and engaging style.
  • Well-developed proactive time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
