Job Description

In this part-time, fixed-term role, based in East Melbourne, you will be responsible for facilitating the internal education programs for haematology and autologous stem cell transplant service. You will provide clinical supervision, assessment and support to nursing staff at Epworth Freemasons within the haematology and cell therapies speciality.

Reporting to the Education Manager, you will be well supported and be part of a positive and friendly Education team.

You will make an impact by:

  • Identifying learning requirements for Cell therapy and haematology in conjunction with the Nurse Unit Managers in collaboration with treating consultants.
  • Developing education events and packages to address skill and knowledge supporting the educational requirements
  • Developing policy and procedures to support best practice patient care

To be successful in this role…

  • You will be an experienced Educator, CNS or nursing leader, with a passion for education and development.
  • An excellent communicator and confident presenter, you have a supportive and engaging style.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to provide constructive and structured feedback.
  • You keep up-to-date with best practice, enjoy being innovative and have a strong understanding of professional nursing standards.

You will have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in haematology including: Autologous stem cell transplantation.
  • Current nursing registration with APHRA
  • Cell therapies experience (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable)
  • Relevant post-graduate qualifications
