Job Description

In this part time, fixed term (approx. 10 – 11 months) role as an Occupational Therapist (30.4 hrs per week), based at Epworth Rehabilitation Camberwell, you will be the lead clinician for the OT inpatient rehabilitation service and oversee the day to day operations of this team. Your clinical speciality can be in the areas of neurology, orthopaedics, cardiac & respiratory or as an all rounder. You will be part of the Occupational Therapy team and report to the Deputy Manager of Occupational Therapy.

Please note that if we are unable to recruit a suitable Grade 3, we will consider this as an experienced Grade 2 position also.

  • Providing excellent care to your allocated outpatient caseload
  • Fostering and strengthening relationships with the MDT and key external stakeholders
  • Driving innovation and promotion of the Occupational Therapy Service
  • Mentoring Grade 1 & 2 Occupational Therapists + students and leading by example
  • Supporting the Deputy Manager of Occupational Therapy and remaining accountable to key performance indicators 
  • Demonstrating that you are a driven leader who is team orientated, approachable, compassionate and accountable
  • Utilising your communication skills to enable you to effectively & respectfully liaise with patients, colleagues and key stake holders from a variety of backgrounds
  • Demonstrating that you are flexible and have the ability to respond and adapt to quickly changing circumstances
  • Utilising your exemplary organisational skills

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A minimum of 7 years clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • A driver's license and willingness to drive
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Previous experience working with VWA & TAC is highly desirable
