3 East is a 15 bed unit specialising in neurology and cardiac stepdown . We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager in this permanent part-time role, based in Epworth Geelong, you will be responsible for supporting the Nurse Unit Manager and assisting in the overall clinical management and team leadership, working in spacious and modern facilities with state-of-the-art equipment. assist lead a dedicated team of nurses in Neuroscience services at Epworth Geelong.

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will provide clinical and professional leadership to the team who are committed to providing individualised care with our strategic focus that every patient matters. 

You will make an impact by:

• Delivering exceptional experience in accordance with Epworth HealthCare values
• Ensuring patient flow is managed whilst providing high standards of patient care
• Having a strong leadership presence and delivering an exceptional patient experience within the ward
• Ensuring patient flow is managed whilst providing high standards of patient care
• Managing clinical risk and implementing process improvements to improve patient outcomes
• Working in collaboration with the team and the hospital executive team to ensure patient care is integrated, safe, supportive and of high quality

To be successful in this role

You will either be in an ANUM role or looking to step into an ANUM role. You are a good communicator, flexible in your approach and have natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients and their families. You’re keen to progress your career, learn how to lead a unit and are open to mentoring and accessing internal leadership programs that support your journey.

Position Description        Inherent Requirements

You will have:

• Current nursing registration with AHPRA.
• Grade 2 Year 6 minimum.
• Possess excellent communication and customer liaison skills with proven ability to motivate and lead a team
• Contemporary knowledge of best practice in neuroscience service
• Committed to achieving high quality clinical outcomes
• Demonstrated experience in building relationships with all stakeholders 
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing environments
• Demonstrated ability in financial management and understanding of budgets.
• Related Post Graduate qualifications (clinical or leadership) desirable

The annual salary range for full time ANUM – AUD $105,083 - $108,521.92 + super + entitlements ,depending on registration type, year level and position (prorated for part-time).
