Job Description

Options exist for you to work in either a permanent full-time or part-time capacity within our Birth Suite and Post Natal ward at Epworth Freemasons.  Let us know through the application process which area(s) you’re interested in and whether you’re after full-time or part-time hours.

The Maternity Services department consists of 9 birth suites, 10 bed special care nursery, 34 bed postnatal unit and a 6 bed hospital in the Park Hyatt Hotel and currently accommodates approximately 3,000 births per annum. 

You will make an impact by:

  • Delivering an exceptional patient experience to women, their partners/families and their babies to have positive pregnancy, birth and postnatal experience
  • Providing a high standard of nursing/midwifery care
  • Encouraging and role-modelling empathy to patients and families

An excellent communicator, you value team work and strong camaraderie as you place the patient at the heart of all your decisions.  Flexibility in your thinking, patience and the ability to manage multiple priorities is vital to your success.

You will have:

  • Current unrestricted midwifery registration with AHPRA
  • Previous experience working in a Birth Suite or Post Natal ward
  • Contemporary knowledge of best practice in maternity and newborn nursing care and the patient journey

    The annual salary range for full time – AUD $66,711 - $93,669 + super + entitlements depending on registration type, year level and position (prorated for part-time)
