The Gardens, a brand new long term care building at Episcopal Homes of Minnesota is currently recruiting applicants for a full time general maintenance position. This position performs home a range of relatively simple repairs and does not require specialized, general in house maintenance activities and some cleaning. It also carries out monthly preventive maintenance work, record keeping and may assist on the grounds. Duties include but are not limited to completing work orders, repairing of household style equipment, fixtures, wheelchairs, beds and furnishings, troubleshooting and problem solving, preventive maintenance on equipment and air handling equipment, ensuring compliance with Federal, State and Local laws. The Gardens is a brand new, state of the art, long term care center providing elders with a more homelike environment. • Communicating with seniors • Small household equipment repairs • Painting and touch up work • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Desire to grow in maintenance ability and responsibility • Ability to work around older adults in a residential environment. • Full-time at 40 hours week PLUS ability to be on-call on a rotating weekly basis • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
