Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of skilled duties such as mechanical repairs of any machine utilized for production by the plant, electrical repairs, machine installations, cranes and general plant equipment. Must be capable of working on complex assignments without supervision.
- Must be able to interpret complex mechanical, electrical, construction and some electronic drawings and utilize these to analyze problems and make the necessary repairs.
- Must possess the tools necessary to perform the duties outlined and must work in a safe and efficient manner and practice good housekeeping at all times. Must assist in training lesser skilled employees on occasion and must maintain complete documentation of work performed, machine records, safety and other maintenance reports.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
A. Education
- 2 – 4 years of trade training and high school
B. Experience
- A minimum of five years industrial experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data
- Blueprint reading – use of complicated instructions or drawings, wiring diagrams
- Ability to effectively plan and organize

- The ability to perform several tasks at once

- The ability to stand/bend/stretch, etc.
- The ability to build, construct and repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures from drawings and/or instructions.
- The ability to operate production equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drills, boring mills, etc.
- The ability design and develop various types of jigs, fixtures, tools, gauges and dies.
- The ability to determine metal analysis, make tool try-outs, trouble shoot and correct problems.
- The ability to perform basic welding, brazing, and soldering.
