Job Description
The Procurement Intern will support the Procurement team through hands-on project work focused on data analysis, supplier management, and operational procurement activities. This internship provides exposure to core procurement processes, cross-functional collaboration, and real-world supply chain decision-making, while contributing measurable cost savings and process improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will include the following, other duties may be assigned
· Gathers data to send out RFQs to supply base
· Record quote data to track supplier performance
· Prepare and send Requests for Quote (RFQs) to suppliers.
· Conduct lead-time analysis and assist with MRP updates.
· Work with large data sets and apply data integrity criteria both with accuracy and timely execution
· Must be capable of prioritizing workload and handle multiple projects at one time
· Maintain MRP by updating various supplier and purchase item elements
· Develop, review, analyze, and interpret various reports. Attention to detail required.
· Perform ABC part analysis to support inventory and procurement strategies.
· Solid mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills required
· Assist buyers, commodity managers, and procurement leadership with day-to-day operational tasks as needed.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams including sourcing, supply chain, and operations.
· Other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, especially excel (required)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Solid analytical skills required
· Ability to develop productive working relationship with internal customers
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
· Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply chain or other similar degree preferred
