Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Industrial Operations Supervisor to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support, influence, and grow our new location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering with mechanical knowledge, and a proven track record in managing industrial operations and facility management, and facility management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including production schedules, maintenance, and quality control.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a small team of production and maintenance staff, providing training and development.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and meet production goals.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control budget and operational costs.
- Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and management of the facility, ensuring it is safe, efficient, and well-maintained.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Electrical Systems Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Mechanical Systems Knowledge: Apply mechanical knowledge to support the reconditioning process and troubleshoot issues.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
DIMENSIONS
- Reporting to the Operations Director.
- Working and collaborating with the Site Service Manager.
- Working closely and maintain a strong relationship with all Altek departments US & UK.
- Customer facing role working closely with clients to support their needs.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Internal and External site service personnel.
- Internally Engineering (Software, Electrical, Mechanical & Process)
- Internally Supply chain team (Purchasing & Logistics)
- Internally the UK production team
- Internally HSE
- Internally Quality
- Externally all customers direct or indirect.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or plant management role, exhibiting performance enhancement.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Lean Manufacturing: Experience with Lean Manufacturing and waste reduction is desirable.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
