Job Description
The Financial Analyst II provides review and analysis of the general ledger. The financial analyst focuses on maintaining accurate records that comply with GAAP principles of accounting. The Financial Analyst is deeply involved in the month end close activities and monthly reconciliations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with month end close.
- Prepare and post standard and non-standard journal entries.
- Perform analytical procedures on general ledger accounts during month end review.
- Monitor budget variances and provide explanations.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual plan and quarterly forecasts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly manufacturing department financial reports for Operations team against budget and identify areas for improvement.
- Complete monthly operations headcount report, actual and forecast, and overtime report for Operations team.
- Complete quarterly reporting for Excess and Obsolete inventory and LIFO analysis and prepare analysis for Management and Operations review.
- Create and prepare Adhoc reports as necessary to support business decisions.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Manufacturing / Cost Accounting
• General Ledger experience
• Experience using LN or other ERP systems, Hyperion, and Business Intelligence (BI)
• 1-5 years of experience in accounting
• Experience with advanced Excel applications
