Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

 

  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on the Stoneblower Fleet
  • To maintain machines against the agreed maintenance plan
  • Maximise machine availability
  • Support the Stoneblower Field Service Manager in achieving desired targets and KPI’s

Competency

Qualifications & Experience

  • Is likely to be time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, or Preferred recognised qualification as a mechanical / electrical / maintenance engineer
  • Hold a professional qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Experience within the Railway Industry

Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge & understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, electronic, fault finding & repair

  • IT literate including knowledge of Microsoft systems
  • Calibration & understanding of rail plant operating
  • Competent in current maintenance standards
  • Problem Solving and identifying solutions

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Repair machines to exceed performance targets and KPI’s
  • Report any defects found on machine & carry out repairs within required competency level for the role
  • Ensure planned maintenance duties are completed in line with company policies & procedures & work instructions
  • Support the Field Service Manager providing inspection information as required
  • Ensure working environment is maintained as required by 5S
  • Inform Field Service Manager of any issues / problems in a timely manner, which are outside your remit of control
  • Operate machine for maintenance purposes, as required
  • Ensure regularly updated & compliant with company policies & procedures
  • Awareness of company communication
  • Be responsible for the care of company assets
  • Flexibility to travel and lodge as required by the company.
