Job Description
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Observes safe work practices and safety methods; performs other duties as assigned
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the AM&M Support Managers, site management, maintenance supervision, co-workers, outside agencies, and the public
- Evaluates and enter asset management data into AM&M Support platforms and apps
- Review & distribute weekly regional KPI status to the sites and appropriate personnel as directed
- Reviews work order status related to the asset management program; for completeness, accuracy, comments, and variances; contacts appropriate staff member to make necessary updates, resolving issues from completing and closing work orders for the sites
- Coordinates and schedules meetings as needed for training in the CMMS and data systems for the sites and the AM&M Teams as necessary
- Prepare & review reports from data platforms: asset condition, maintenance planning/scheduling, completed work orders; may evaluate output for trends
- Assists with data integration to asset management databases, identifying end user AM&M training and platform needs, resolving user concerns, participates in testing, prototyping, and training for onboarding of new team members and implementation of new and existing AM&M platforms & applications
- Through proactive ownership, the successful candidate will drive KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and the quality and integrity of data capture via interaction with stakeholders at the sites
- Make recommendations for maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to improve overall asset and equipment reliability and performance
- Develop and maintain regular communications with their assigned sites reporting situational asset health, escalating priorities and situations as necessary
- Assist sites with documentation to analyze equipment failure data and performance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement, focusing on root cause analysis and long-term solutions
- Assist Asset Support Managers to analyzing reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and failure mode and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) processes to systematically assess critical asset failures, develop preventative standards and define maintenance priorities
- Assist Asset Support Managers to design and oversee condition-based monitoring (telemetry) programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication analysis, to predict equipment failures and schedule preventive maintenance
- Assist in the lease vs buy business models, vendors, and suppliers in partnership with Asset Support Managers and procurement efforts
- Contribute in the development and submission of annual CapEx plan with follow-up to also assist in executing and budget conformance
- Help facilitate training and development programs for maintenance and operations staff to enhance their understanding of reliability & operating principles and practices
- Aid and support Asset Support Managers in the day-to-day guidance of maintenance activities for a geographic area of operating sites, providing technical support to the site Maintenance Supervisors, supporting in the delivery of improved standards & quality of work. Will have responsibility for multiple operating locations, overseeing multiples of fixed and mobile wheeled assets, providing asset management services and equipment to Harsco Metals & Minerals operations team

- Basic Qualifications
- Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience
- 1 plus years’ experience coordinating maintenance activities preferably in a Steel, Mining, or heavy industrial environment
- 2 plus years’ experience in maintenance scheduling/planning in CMMS
- Preferred Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mining, Mechanical, Process or Electrical or other relevant vocational accredited qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Experience
- 3 plus years’ experience coordinating multi-site, multi-functional Maintenance team and activities preferably in a Steel, Mining, or heavy industrial environment
- 3 plus years’ experience managing financial performance in a Maintenance and/or Operations setting
- 3 plus years’ experience managing spare parts and inventory
- Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with and being a member of multi-functional teams to include Finance, Operations, Engineering, HR, and Procurement
- Able to lead by example from the front, with integrity, and accountability
- Technical Skills
- Proficient in MS Office platforms
- Proficient in CMMS
- Proficient in Oracle
- Ability to extrapolate, assemble, analyze, and interpret data, identify opportunities, and make recommendations based on data analysis
- Ability to develop and assemble presentations and reports for business improvement opportunities
- Other Skills
- Ability to effectively plan and organize time, multiple projects, and time sensitive due dates
- An understanding for “sense-of-urgency” as it relates to the service industry and avoiding service interruption
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret large amounts of cost and performance related data
