Job Description

EBG is looking for a dynamic person to join our performance driven team. We are growing very quickly so we need a “hands on” person that will provide Software Testing and Quality Assurance. The purpose of Software Testing and Quality Assurance is to provide the means and also the measures for testing all the aspects of a software solution, both functionally and technically, in order to meet the requirements and overall quality of the intended solution. 

The Quality Assurance Analyst candidate should exhibit a desire to grow with the company, take pride in their work, and fit well within a diverse multi-level team environment.

Essential Functions

  • Regression testing support of existing websites
  • Responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan of projects; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected
  • Execute test cases, typically at a black box level
  • Log and track defects using the designated tracking system and tools
  • Application should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems
  • Ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live
  • Analysis of requirements to produce test cases
  • Review of bug fixes and minor system enhancements to ensure expected results are achieved
  • Working with the developer team to provide continuous iterative feedback
  • Setting estimates and expectations for task completion, tracking on target deadlines
  • Other support tasks as required

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of real-world QA experience
  • Experiences in Quality Management Software and Processes
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) and testing process
  • Experience in agile, waterfall, and/or scrum development methodology
  • Hands on experience in web applications and API QA
  • Experience in external API integration testing (REST APIs)
  • Solid knowledge of SQL complex queries, database testing.
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work both individually and with a team
  • Advanced knowledge of Web Standards, Accessibility Standards & Browser compatibility
  • A solid working knowledge of metrics and models in product quality engineering
  • An understanding of the importance of User Experience (UX) & User Interface (UI)
  • Experience in the demands of deadline-driven work
  • Ability to work on simultaneous projects of varying size and complexity from very small testing initiatives to testing during large projects
  • Ability to work with version control systems (Git)
  • Knowledge and experience in technical aspects of the software solution being tested
    • MySQL
    • CSS
    • HTML5
    • JavaScript
    • Web Services, XML, JSON
    • API integration (SOAP UI, POSTMAN, etc)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Mobile
  • Experience with E-Commerce systems
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Testing Automation Experience
