Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills Building massively scalable multi-threaded applications for large data processing primarily with Apache Spark, Scala on Hadoop. 

Experience programming in Scala with exposure to the most well known frameworks such as Akka, Play, SBT 

Strong algorithms, data structures, and coding background in C++, Java, Scala; exposure to other functional languages like Haskell is a plus 

Experience building non-blocking asynchronous systems 

Experience / Exposure building services that fit Micro Systems Architecture 

Experience with web services API technologies (Rest, JSON, XML). 

Experience working with NoSQL data storage solutions preferably Cassandra. 

Knowledge of modern web frameworks, languages and protocols 

Prior experience with multiple relational and columnar data stores such as MySQL, Redis, Memcached, Cassandra, Vertica 

Strong proficiency with Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark programming paradigms. 

Implement techniques from machine learning, heuristics, and statistical analysis on terabyte-scale data. 

Experience working in an Agile & Lean, customer centric environment 

Roles and responsibility
