Location : Philadelphia, PA

Salary: $Open+ Benefits + Relocation Expenses 

Basic

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• At least 4 years of experience in IT industry.

Preferred

Advanced Teradata lead

• Hands on experience in performance tuning of Teradata EDW production environments, especially tuning large and complex SQLs

• Good proficiency with writing and analyzing SQL queries

• Work with application implementation teams to design and implement best practices for SQL code, object creation, minimizing data skew, PPI selection

• Add statistics or indexes to improve query performance without degrading ETL process

• Experience with priority scheduler design to minimize impact of mixed workloads on same host

• Experience with Teradata Viewpoint to monitor Teradata performance

• Help define application performance baselines on Teradata, identify and implement tuning recommendations to help improve performance and scalability

• Prior experience in a Teradata Database Administrator role desirable

• Teradata certification desirable

• Has experience in leading teams in both Dev and Support projects

• Should have sound knowledge of Ops support processes like Incident Management, Problem Management etc., preferably ITIL

• Good Communication and Stakeholder management skills

• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

• Strong analytical skills

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements
