Company Description
Responsible for managing the portfolio of projects and programmes in Belgium, from their launch through to their closure. Ensures planning, governance, risk management and stakeholder coordination to guarantee the achievement of strategic objectives. Oversees PMO processes, reporting, benefit tracking and continuous improvement, whilst ensuring that projects are aligned with the company’s priorities and the Group’s risk management requirements.
Job Description
What will your main responsibilities be ?
1. Project management
- Lead the implementation of complex, large-scale projects and strategic initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to facilitate coordination and execution
- Ensure end-to-end control over the planning and implementation of the elements of the Belgian portfolio entrusted to you, ensuring that milestones, dependencies and implementation governance are clearly defined
- Be responsible for the entire project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution and closure), in accordance with the agreed project governance framework
- Develop robust business cases for proposed changes, clearly setting out the benefits, costs, risks and timelines, in order to secure stakeholder buy-in and funding approval where necessary
- Master the RAID register management process, ensuring that risks and issues are identified, escalated and mitigated in a timely manner to guarantee the successful implementation of the project
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, business experts and external partners to enable effective decision-making and execution
- Ensure an effective transition of project outcomes into business-as-usual (BAU) activities, including handover, monitoring the realisation of benefits, and post-implementation analysis
- Promote continuous improvement through regular review of programme and project performance, incorporating lessons learnt and best practice
2. Risk Management
- Lead the identification, assessment and management of risks within the Belgian division, ensuring compliance with the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks
- Establish and maintain robust risk management processes, tools and reporting standards, including the development and updating of the Belgian division’s risk register
- Provide rigorous oversight and monitoring to ensure that appropriate mitigation plans are put in place, with a clear allocation of responsibilities, deadlines and accountability
- Proactively report significant risks, emerging issues and control weaknesses through the agreed governance bodies, ensuring timely visibility for the Belgian management team and the Group’s Risk function
- Facilitate discussions, workshops and in-depth risk analyses, as required, to strengthen risk identification and mitigation across the portfolio
3. PMO, Governance and Controls
Establish and manage the entire portfolio of projects and programmes in Belgium, in line with strategic objectives
Embed consistent practices in governance, reporting and control across all projects, to ensure high-quality delivery and optimal transparency
Ensure accurate and timely reporting for all projects, particularly regarding progress, risks, issues, dependencies and key decisions
Support planning, prioritisation and coordination at portfolio level, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives of Belgium and the Group, as well as with implementation capacity
