Transformation Manager

- Advertising Department: Sportsbook & Gaming
- Referral Band: ♠
Job Description
This role is part of the Entain Transformation team within the Commercial function.
In a nutshell, Transformation identifies and solves complex business problems that involve multiple stakeholders across pillars (Sports, Gaming, Compliance) and channels (Digital, Retail, Multi-channel), and which support the execution of the UK commercial strategy. We constantly work towards ensuring our customers have best-in-class experiences whilst using Entain products. The working environment is fast-paced, and challenging - Transformation is a small team that aims to maintain an out-sized impact on the business.
The Transformation Manager is a highly collaborative role working cross-functionally across Sports, Gaming, Marketing, Product, Technology, Trading, Customer Services, Procurement and Finance to ensure that our processes and organisation are operating in the best way possible, and using customer insight and data to drive towards consistently delivering growth and business benefit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operate flexibly and adapt to changing requirements, and new initiatives as required. These can range from short-term reviews/diagnostics of processes and operations, to supporting longer term large-scale strategic initiatives that require clear governance, stakeholder alignment, problem-solving and a high degree of critical thinking.
- Own the AI agenda within Commercial. Create a strategy, governance and prioritization framework around how we can best harness AI within Commercial to a) operate more efficiently internally, b) use the technology to improve processes and output
- Own how we identify repeated weaknesses or pain points in our technology that detract from the customer or colleague experience. Once identified, work with appropriate teams to align on the problem statement and drive improvement, e.g. how we can optimise our internal processes to respond to tech incidents most effectively
- Support the Product and Technology teams with business case submissions for key hardware investments, e.g. new betting terminals. Ensure that any Capex requirements are aligned with Finance.
- Support the Digital Ops Director to prioritise Commercial requirements on an annual basis, i.e. new customer propositions and product features that to be developed and taken to market
- A key component of the role is to proactively identify areas of potential business improvement in the ‘way we do things’ to simplify processes, improve accountabilities and transparency and ultimately help deliver the products and features that customers want in the way that they want to consume them. This is the ‘Find and Fix’ mentality – drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying opportunities across all areas of the business. Scope out those opportunities, work independently to deliver benefits, and report progress / risks to senior executives.
