    Job Description

    We're looking for a UX/UI Design Manager to lead our UX design team. This hands-on role is perfect for a leader who’s passionate about crafting seamless, user-first experiences.

    You’ll guide the team’s workload, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and work closely with Product and Engineering to shape the vision, strategy, and execution of our digital products, delivering high-quality designs that make a real impact.

    Success in this role means deeply understanding business priorities and working closely with a diverse group of partners to set the direction for design and user experience. You'll empower your team to do their best work every day, providing the right tools, insights, and design guidance while fostering strong collaboration, clear communication, and an inclusive culture that drives impact.

    Key responsibilities

    • Lead a talented and collaborative UX team across multiple countries to transform the customer experience, focusing on evolving products and capabilities to seamlessly integrate with the next-generation experience.
    • Take a hands-on approach as a UX/UI designer and strategist.
    • Uphold high-quality standards throughout the design process by reviewing team work, leading design critiques, and ensuring final deliverables meet expectations and business goals.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly embed design processes into the product development lifecycle, ensuring a user-first approach at every stage.
    • Collaborate closely with the Head of Product Design and Product Managers to shape priorities, define project scope, and align on business objectives.
    • Work in partnership with Engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation and high design fidelity.
    • Advocate for user-centered and data-driven design principles across the organization, reinforcing their value in creating impactful experiences.
    • Integrate UX and CX frameworks to create a seamless experience across digital and offline touchpoints.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends, accessibility guidelines, and standards to continually refine UX practices.

    Team management

    • Manage team workload effectively, ensuring resources are allocated for maximum impact.
    • Coach, mentor, and support a team of UX/UI designers, boosting their growth and skill development.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • + 10 years of experience in the Design field, with a strong focus on UX/UI Design.
    • + 3 years of experience leading UX/UI designers.
    • Proven experience working directly with senior leaders and stakeholders.
    • Ability to craft compelling product narratives, clearly articulating project goals, motivation, and success pathways.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to frame solutions logically and persuasively in both writing and speaking.

    Core Skills & Expertise

    • Proven ability to deliver high-quality designs, from concept to pixel-perfect final assets.
    • Strong self-starter mentality, with the ability to drive projects forward through proactive communication and diligence.
    • Strong understanding and application of user-centric design principles, and fast execution in developing design concepts and variations.
    • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including design system usage and the full UX process (from research to final UI).
    • Expertise in wireframing, mockups, and prototyping using Figma.
    • A deeply collaborative and iterative approach to product design, ensuring a cohesive experience across platforms.
    • Ability to work remotely with teams and stakeholders across different time zones.
    • Professional verbal and written communication in both English and Portuguese.
    • A customer-centric digital portfolio that clearly showcases your design process.

    Additional Required Experience & Knowledge

    • Strong analytical skills to understand complex data structures, design diverse hierarchies, and perform necessary validations.
    • Experience using quantitative user behavior analysis tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.) and conducting A/B tests to optimize user experiences.
    • Experience working in agile environments, with familiarity in Jira and a solid understanding of the full product lifecycle, from ideation to post-launch iteration.

    Bonus qualifications

    • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 5 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
    • Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 Javascript.
