Job Description

  • Perform regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory and investigate all inventory discrepancies. 
  • Identify part inconsistencies to assist operations in standardization and obsolescence.  
  • Responsible for all incoming ‘return material authorization (RMAs)’ and other material being returned to Bevcorp without previous authorization. 
  • Work with the Inside Sales Administrator to request creation of RMA’s with the proper documentation and approvals necessary. 
  • Analyze the circumstances behind return, issues and warranty requests in efforts to determine restocking fees, credit expectations, root cause analysis and possible CPAR requirements.
  • Evaluate costs and part history to determine part process disposition (rework or scrap).
  • Maintain transactional traceability of returned materials through customer history in order to identify where parts come from and apply accurate costs. 
  • Manage RMA’s through receipt (S/R), inspection (QC), disposition (IS) and credit (Accounting) as required. 
  • Identify all parts being returned to verify accuracy of RMA paperwork and adjust line items as necessary.
  • Utilizing resources from internal departments and third party evaluators to create a pass/fail and/or keep/discard procedure to eliminate unwanted material from impacting inventory. 
  • Work with the Inside Sales Administrator, Sales Account Executives and Quality Inspector to provide final disposition to the customer after RMA has been received and inspected.
  • Attend regular RMA meetings to discuss dispositioning of material and root cause analysis. 
  • Must be able to regularly lift 30-50 lbs.
  • Suggest and aid in implementing process improvements specifically in regard to increased efficiency.
  • Responsible for reporting safety hazards and implementing new standards as needed.
  • Provide back up to the shipping and receiving team members as necessary and when requested by the Warehouse Inventory Control Manager.
  • Other duties as required as directed by the Warehouse Inventory Control Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior industry experience required.
  • Strong mechanical work history and part knowledge.
  • Experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings.

  • Tenacity to find the correct answer the first time while getting to the root cause of the problem.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while remaining polite and respectful when dealing with co-workers.
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient working on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of attention to detail and data entry accuracy including the ability to reconcile and check own work.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude and team player spirit. 
  • Desire to seek and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong research skills including use of ERP system.
  • Experience with various computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred.
  • Dedication to safety throughout all job responsibilities.
