Position Purpose:

Maintain and create new customer sales for steel equipment sales and services        

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:            

• Managing the existing customer base
• Locate and develop new customer accounts
• Look for opportunities to expand product and services offered in the assigned territory.  
• Develop sales forecasts and plans
• Act as liaison between customers and operations

Education and Training, or Experience equivalent:

• Bachelor’s degree Marketing or Business
• Minimum of 10 years sales experience in the Steel, Paper or Aluminum industries

Skills and Abilities:

• Highly motivated, results-oriented, high-level sales and prospecting skills, confident, outstanding communication skills (oral and written), and overall metals industry knowledge
• Must be highly mechanically inclined and have the ability to learn and understand complex equipment
• Ability to work under pressure
• Problem solving/trouble shooting skills
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and ERP system
• Self-starter and results oriented
• Strong sales and relationship building skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
