Job Description

  • Responsible for overseeing operations of seaming division including support and participation in all growth initiatives and goals.
  • Oversee operational excellence in the manufacturing process to improve safety, quality, scheduling, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for adherence to all corporate compliance requirements – including JSOX.
  • Oversee inventory and set proper safety stocks based on business needs.
  • Lead capacity management of seamers and collaborate closely with other product lines for filler/seamer or blender/seamer projects.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the Epicor ERP system and be a leader in its use - eliciting outside training support from internal company experts, as needed.
  • Lead the division to deliver quality products, engineering solutions, and services, in a way that enhances and maximizes profitability while ensuring value to the customer in a professional and timely manner.
  • Actively participate in guiding a positive and successful culture integration, acting as a liaison between divisions.
  • Develop and promote a culture of continuous improvement and team member involvement.
  • Interface with Service team and VP of Customer Relations
  • Utilize metrics to track the well-being of the operation and drive changes as needed.
  • Interact regularly with the executive team to ensure that company priorities are aligned with the direction of the company, including presenting KPIs and other seamer division updates in monthly meetings with the team and corporate.
  • Responsible for maintenance of a safety program at the Forest Hill location, ensuring a safety-first culture is developed. Additionally, responsible for ensuring all Bevcorp and customer-mandated safety policies are followed by seamer division employees while on customer sites.
  • Responsible for seamer division personnel objectives by actively communicating needs and participating in recruiting training, scheduling, coaching, development, and expectations communication.
  • Oversee HR policy adherence for the Forest Hill location, as guided by the Human Resources Manager.
  • Other responsibilities, including projects, goals, and objectives as directed by Technical Director, Seaming Division

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-year Technical degree +
  • 5-7 year of supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have the ability to build and manage remote teams and problem solve
  • Experience with material management, process improvement, safety and quality systems and processes a plus
