Job Description

 

  • Level 2 -Technician will have the ability to perform many aspects of Blender and/or electrical service and be able to work with minimal supervision and occasionally work independently.  Ability to complete full PM service at Plant. Performance meets some, but not all position requirements.   Must be able to perform the following: Understand (able to read, interrupt, and use) Electrical and Process Schematics; Terminate all wiring of blender; Conduct accurate check out of wiring (all motors, meters, i/p's, and all I/O points) from touch screen;  Setup and testing of Level transmitters, Control Valves, and PC's on DOS and Windows with Digi boards; More than a basic understanding of overall blending process, operation of blender, and ability to do basic training of plant personnel on operation of blender.

  • Level 3- Technician will have the ability to perform most aspects of Blender and/or electrical service; and be able to work independently as well as lead projects including the supervision of lower level technicians.  Performance meets and frequently exceeds position requirements.  Must be able to perform all duties of level 2 and in addition to the following:  Have a basic knowledge and ability to program ladder logic in Rockwell Software (Studio and RSlogix 500) to include getting connected to PLC (going online with PLC and troubleshooting problems);  Making basic changes to ladder (timers, XIO, XIC, instructions);  Ability to load proper IP addresses into devices (Ethernet switches, solenoid banks, PLC, ENET cards, Cell modems, and Panelviews) ; Intermediate level of knowledge of Blending process, CIP process, and Lab equipment used to check (brix, T/A, Carbonation, and oxygen in finished product);  Conduct Training of Blender to operators (at intermediate level);   Take troubleshooting calls from customers; Be able to load programs into PLC, Panelview, and conduct full checkout in shop and at site.

  • Level 4- Technician will have the ability to perform all aspects of Blender; electrical service; and programming changes. Perform formal audits to MicroBlend standards, conduct full training of Blender, CIP system, and Deaeration process at all levels of plant personnel, and be able to work independently as well as lead projects including the supervision of lower level technicians with consistent attention to detail.  Performance is consistently superior and significantly exceeds position requirements (including but not limited to timely and accurate reporting requirements).

  • In shop perform all necessary Auto CAD schematics changes needed.  Electrical assembly, terminated and labeling wiring for Blenders, Assembly and test Control valves, Level Transmitters, Block valves, V ball valves, PC’s on Windows and DOS, and conduct checkout of upgrades and or new blenders, CIP skids.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate level of experience with AUTO CAD Mechanical and Electrical
  • Good understanding of NFPA 70 (National Electric Code)
  • Developed electrical skills, running conduit, pulling wiring, terminating wiring, labeling properly, and Testing circuits.
