Job Description

About the role

  • Schedule, plan, resource, and manage all technical activities aimed at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.            
  • Generate engineered work scope and labor/material estimate through coordination with sales department and customer interaction.
  • Generate repair solutions, value-added improvements, and new design concepts on existing heavy manufacturing equipment.
  • Generate repair/new component prints, work flow documents, and assembly prints as required for assigned projects
  • Generate and maintain project schedules and coordinate resources accordingly.
  • Interact daily with purchasing, sales, and production teams.
  • Report regularly on project status

Qualifications

About you

Ability to:

  • demostrate proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Solidworks Software
  • generate new and markup/modify existing prints to coincide with the routing of the parts through the manufacturing facility.
  • apply knowledge of engineering principles to mechanical systems.
  • demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills required.
  • develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing /repair methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.
  • estimate costs and submit bids for engineering solutions.
  • oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
  • recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • run multiple projects of varying degrees of difficulty and duration at one time.
  • work independently but also coordinate effectively as part of a team.
  • work in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible/adaptable to rapidly changing priorities
  • manage, plan, and coordinate activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and cost parameters.

Education, qualifications and certifications

  • BS Engineering degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience

Experience

  • 1-5 years’ project management experience and CAD experience; machinery build/rebuild experience a plus
