Job Description

This position plays a critical role in the disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of machine sub-assemblies and components. Candidate must have good penmanship and the ability to hand draft a print.  Candidate to be mechanically inclined and enjoy disassembling and reassembling mechanical components. 

About the role

  • Use a variety of measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to gather information on components in order to create drafted prints.
  • Draft a complete print of a part to be used by an engineer
  • Use NDT methods to check for part condition
  • Inspect and test completed assemblies, and their subassemblies for operation and functionality
  • Assists in general machine repair /mechanic duties as workload dictates
  • Committed to the safety of one’s self and other team members

Qualifications

Ability to:

  • Read, interrupt, and create blueprints
  • Write neatly, legibly and maintain neat and orderly inspection records
  • Demonstrate proficiency with micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring and inspection equipment
  • Show proficiency in math (geometry, trigonometry)
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong organization skills, be technically inclined, and be detail oriented
  • Work well independently and with a team
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems

Education, qualifications and certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical training and certifications a plus
