Job Description

We are in search of a detail oriented individual with excellent communication and teamwork skills to join our warehouse team. This position holds great importance and has significant impact to both internal and external customers. The Shipping Coordinator will work closely with the Customer Service and Receiving departments to satisfy the needs of our customers. The standard hours are M-F 7 am-3:30 pm with the ability for overtime. 

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Fulfill job material and sales order requirements by reviewing pick lists and pulling the corresponding material and parts from inventory
  • Gather and assemble sales orders for customer requirements
  • Utilize company ERP system to pull pick lists, select carriers, create BOL’s, create shipments, and perform other shipping related functions
  • Create and issue paperwork for domestic and international shipments
  • Package products for shipment in accordance with company packaging requirements
  • Open crates and other containers using various hand tools
  • Utilize fork trucks and pallet jacks for safe and proper movement of material
  • Construct crates/boxes/pallets for proper and safe handling and transportation of product
  • Stage material for collection and shipment
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of warehouse supplies
  • Track and log material that is received and/or distributed
  • Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
  • Load shipments on trucks and assist receiving personnel with unloading of deliveries
  • Participate in weekly inventory cycle counts
  • Mark materials and packaging with identifying information using stencils, etching tools, or other marking devices
  • Assemble job related components

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years’ experience in warehouse, inventory and shipping environment
  • Must be mechanically inclined to assemble parts
  • Must have basic carpentry skills to build crates, pallets and boxes
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
  • Ability to operate a fork truck and crane
  • Work and communicate effectively with warehouse and other departments
  • Ability to use of power tools such as saws, drills, drill presses, etc
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
