Job Description

  • Complete full preventive maintenance service at customer site
  • Read, interrupt, and use  Electrical and Process Schematics
  • Terminate all wiring of blender
  • Conduct accurate check out of wiring (all motors, meters, i/p's, and all I/O points) from touch screen
  • Setup and testing of level transmitters, Control Valves, and PC's on DOS and Windows with Digi boards
  • Program ladder logic in Rockwell Software (Studio and RSlogix 500) to include getting connected to PLC (going online with PLC and troubleshooting problems)
  • Make changes to ladder (timers, XIO, XIC, instructions)
  • Load proper IP addresses into devices (ethernet switches, solenoid banks, PLC, ENET cards, Cell modems, and Panelviews)
  • Conduct customer training
  • Troubleshoot customer questions over the phone, online or on customer site
  • Create and load programs into PLC, Panelview, and conduct full checkout in shop and at site.
  • Perform all necessary Auto CAD schematics changes needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience programming with Rockwell Software: Studio 5000, RS Logix 500, Factory Talk View SE & ME, RS Links, and RS Enterprise. Including:
    •  Creating Add-on instructions; using previously developed Add-on instructions.
    • Writing ladder to perfect process; integrate ethernet comms with other equipment.  Automating Process.  PID loops a must.
    • Build and modify FT View panel view screens when needed.
  • Intermediate level of experience with AUTO CAD Mechanical and Electrical
  • Some experience with: Microsoft Visual Basic (VB) to include writing code if needed, troubleshooting code and repair of VB apps.
  •  Experience using, calibrating, and troubleshooting Process PID loops using Allen Bradley software.  Hands on calibrating and troubleshooting Control Valves in Level control and Flow control.  Most Control valves are using Positioners.
  • Ability to calculate correct pump flow characteristics using Pump manufactures specifications. Also, to calculate correct CV needed for a control valve in the process.
  • Understand what the ladder or code is currently executing and explain to others what it is doing.
  • Programming communication with MODBUS to flow meters.
  • Ability to train operators on process and all panel view screens.
  • Possess firm troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to effectively present information to internal and external customers

Electrical skills needed:

  • Reading and understanding all safety warnings and precautions throughout U.S.
  • Reading and understanding electrical schematics; P, I, &D drawings
  •  Use of digital multimeters: at 480VAC, 120VAC, 24VDC, and Analog controls - 4-20ma.
  • Troubleshooting and calibrations of 4-20ma I-P transducers, RTD’s, & differential pressure transducers for level. With knowledge and troubleshooting of micro motion mass flow meters

Mechanical skills needed:

  • Pneumatic solenoid & regulators installations, troubleshooting, & maintenance for multiple devices
  • Centrifugal pump understanding, troubleshooting, & repair
  • Spring return air actuated butterfly valve rebuilding
  • Pneumatic actuated control valves, feedback positioners; setup; troubleshooting; calibration

40-50% travel is required for this position
