Job Description

  • Inspect finished goods, work in process, incoming materials/parts, and assemblies for conformance to Bevcorp quality standards.
  • Perform first article, first piece, and subcontract operations inspection per procedures.
  • Verify and log part dimensions compared to engineering drawings.  
  • Use advanced inspection and testing methods to develop and suggest quality process improvements.
  • Test raw materials to specifications. 
  • Complete inspection reports as required.
  • Report discrepancies to Inspection Manager as directed.
  • Maintain department organizational standards for inspection tooling, documentation, and communication.
  • Ensure inspection process is being followed by all segments of the organization.
  • Other duties as directed by the Inspection Manager, Plant Manager, and/or Director of Engineering & Product Assembly. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity with comparators and CMMs.
  • Advanced math skills.
  • Experience with various computer applications such as Microsoft Suite, ERP Systems, the Internet, etc.  
  • Advanced ability to set and/or use various inspection tools such as: micrometers, calipers, and thread plug/ring, pin, height, and bore gauges.
  • Ability to maintain an acceptable balance between attention to detail and efficiency.  
  • Ability to use sound judgement regarding safety.
  • A high level of professionalism and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to promote a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, in all situations.
