Job Description

Position Purpose:

Provides customers with support for obtaining quotes and ordering of press parts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:     

  • Work with customers to determine what they need and recommend parts to customers, and developing phone inquiries into requests for proposals (RFQ’s) and orders
  • Researching press information, reviewing press specifications and matching the correct parts to the specific press.  This involves reviewing and interpreting scanned information, drawings, books, files, microfiche, etc.
  • Processing parts quotes, orders, warranty issues, returns (RMA’s), credit memos, etc.)
  • Assisting customers with informational requests (i.e., press weights, press stroke, year mfg., etc.)
  • Recommending additional parts and services
  • Answering phones and dealing directly with customers concerning press parts.
  • Scanning, printing, faxing, e-mailing of information
  •  Working directly with Purchasing,  Engineering, Warehouse and Traffic departments as necessary

Qualifications

Education and Training, or Experience equivalent:         

  • 2-3 years of technical customer service experience
  • Two year degree, or a combination for equivalent education and experience

Skill and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and schematics
  • Demonstrated computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, Office, Etc.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be well organized and be able to balance multiple priorities and tasks
  • Must be available to work additional hours as workload dictates
  • Must maintain professional demeanor
  • Must be personable and considerate
  • Ability to follow pre-determined guidelines and seek approval for anything outside pre-defined guidelines
  • Basic knowledge of press operations and properties of each part would be helpful, however will be trained
