Shift: 1st shift

Pay: $50,000-60,000 based on experience

About the role

The majority of work will be office based in home base facility and revolve around project planning, project execution and supervision of field service technician activities being performed at our customer’s facilities.

• Design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned in house or field service projects
• Assign responsibilities to technicians and monitor completion
• Interact daily technicians to insure successful project execution
• Report regularly on project status
• Coordinate customer site activities with customer, technicians and sales
• Review project deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Provide support to sales team with development of project scope of work, sales estimates and proposals.
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
• Markup and modify prints to coincide with the routing of the parts.
• Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
• Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering solutions.
• Responsible for controlling project schedule and cost.

Knowledge and abilities

Ability to:

• develop quotes for parts and assemblies to be repaired or manufactured new.
• develop job routings and detailed work instructions to be carried out in the shop.
• to evaluate system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
• develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing /repair methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.
• read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings
• to analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
• to run multiple projects of varying degrees of difficulty at one time.
• communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, sales, management and technicians

Education, qualifications and certifications

• BS Engineering degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience

Experience

• 1-5 years’ project management experience and CAD experience; machinery build/rebuild experience a plus
