This isn't a traditional reporting or data analyst role. We're looking for someone who loves asking "why?" someone who can uncover the story behind the data, connect the dots across multiple sources, and turn complex insights into strategies that help some of the world's leading technology brands make better decisions.

You'll work across media intelligence, audience research, social listening, AI search, digital analytics and market intelligence, partnering closely with strategists, account teams and clients to uncover opportunities, predict trends and shape communications strategies that deliver real business impact.

If you're naturally curious, commercially minded and enjoy translating data into compelling stories, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As a trusted strategic partner, you'll use data, research and intelligence to influence communications planning and business decision-making.

  • Lead strategic analysis across media, digital, audience, competitor and market intelligence.
  • Identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities that shape communications strategy.
  • Translate complex research and datasets into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct deep-dive audience, competitor and market analysis to uncover valuable insights.
  • Connect information from multiple data sources to build a complete picture of the communications landscape.
  • Develop measurement frameworks that link communications activity to meaningful business outcomes.
  • Analyse campaign performance across earned, owned and social channels, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
  • Produce insight-led reports and presentations that go beyond reporting metrics to explain what matters and why.
  • Partner with client teams to integrate analytics into communications planning and strategic decision making.
  • Present findings confidently to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to new business pitches by bringing data-led strategic thinking.
  • Explore emerging AI tools and methodologies to enhance research, insight generation and AI search capabilities.
  • Continuously identify new opportunities to bring proactive intelligence and recommendations to clients

Qualifications

You'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, challenging assumptions and uncovering the insights others miss.

You'll bring:

  • 4 - 5+ years' experience in strategic insights, communications analytics, media intelligence, research or a similar role.
  • Agency experience within PR, communications, media or marketing (preferred).
  • Strong commercial understanding of how communications supports broader business objectives.
  • The ability to turn complex data into simple, compelling stories and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience working with media monitoring, social listening and audience intelligence platforms such as Meltwater, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Muck Rack, Agility, QUID or GWI.
  • Experience using Google Analytics and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Looker Studio.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with experience creating client-ready presentations and data visualisations.
  • Experience incorporating Generative AI into research, analysis or insight development.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Confidence working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A naturally curious mindset and genuine interest in technology, media, business and emerging trends.
