Job Description

When you arrive, you will support the procurement group and report to the Vice President of Supply Chain. As the head of the procurement team within a project, your main challenge will be to ensure the implementation of the entire procurement process during the execution of the project and in accordance with the needs of the customer. This is an opportunity to collaborate in a complex international project execution business environment with a dynamic team working on Enerkem's unique disruptive technology.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work within a project team, in close collaboration with engineering to meet the deliverables of the procurement team according to the requirements of the project and the Client.

  • Coordinate the entire procurement process including calls for tenders, contract awards and their execution, as well as deliveries of materials and equipment to the factory construction site until contracts are closed.
  • Manage the supplier program in collaboration with its social responsibilities policies.
  • Organize performance reviews with certain suppliers
  • Responsible for managing complaints files with suppliers.
  • Ensure optimization of supply chain processes.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate in business administration (desirable)
  • Purchasing and logistics training
  • 7-10 years experience in procurement in a project environment, ideally petrochemical or mining

YOUR SKILLS

  • Solid understanding of supply chain (procure-to-pay) processes and practical experience in project management.
  • Understanding of the “project” environment in the context of execution of complex contracts
  • Excellent knowledge of the tools used in the supply chain.
  • A good understanding/basic knowledge of quality assurance and logistics
  • Have a keen sense of organizing priorities
  • Strong ability in negotiation, as well as problem solving
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
