Job Description

This internship offers a unique opportunity for an Engineering graduate or placement student to gain a comprehensive understanding of the field of industrial design. As an intern, you'll have the chance to work closely with a team of experts and contribute to a wide range of projects. You'll be working on live business projects and expected to dive right in. 

Day to day as an Industrial Design Engineering Intern, you'll get experience in:

  • Designing and developing new products that will shape the future of clean energy
  • Creating products that are more than just visually appealing; they will be user-oriented, sustainable, and aligned with our mission to promote a greener and healthier world.
  • Fabricating and testing prototypes, assessing the viability of new concepts and technologies that will energise the fitness industry.
  • Learning about product technical documentation and documentation for manufacturing.
  • You'll join our multi-disciplinary team of passionate engineers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with top-notch quality.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate or university students graduating in 2024 or 2025 and pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Material Science/Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field such as Production, Product Design Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotic Engineering.

  • Evidence of passion and achievements in academic and/or non-academic activities. Tell us what you’re proud of – be it playing a musical instrument or holding down a job alongside your studies. We want to get to know you!

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a desire to challenge the established way of doing things through continual improvement and innovation, delighting our consumers.

  • Strong interest in investigating and implementing new technologies and processes to step-change our products and equipment.

  • Strong verbal and written English language skills.

  • We've a shiny, new, custom HQ in Shirley where our Head of Happiness is often on site (Energym's pup, "Missy"!)
