Job Description
Here at Energym, we're on a mission to revolutionise the fitness industry through our groundbreaking clean-tech products and we're on the lookout for a talented Senior Design Engineer to design, develop and implement new products, alongside supporting design engineering on existing products.
What you'll be doing day-to-day
- You'll take the lead in designing and developing new products that will shape the future of clean energy. Your creativity and innovation will be the driving force behind exciting projects.
- Your design solutions will be more than just visually appealing; they will be user-oriented, sustainable, and aligned with our mission to promote a greener and healthier world.
- Design control, robust design and design for manufacture & assembly (DfM+A)
- You'll be hands-on, fabricating and testing prototypes, pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Your work will prove the viability of new concepts and technologies that will energise the fitness industry.
- Creation of and management of product technical documentation, including product and component specifications, test plans, supporting documentation for manufacturing.
- Documentation of technical project progression, development activity and conclusions.
- Assisting in the transfer of product from development to manufacturing, ensuring robust and repeatable production practices and quality assurance principles.
- You'll join our multi-disciplinary team of passionate professionals and lead small design teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with top-notch quality.
Qualifications
- You'll need to have a degree or equivalent in a design or engineering discipline and boast a stellar track record of at least seven years in design/engineering roles. Your expertise in electro/mechanical consumer products, combined with knowledge of design for plastics, metals, and composite materials, makes you the perfect fit for our team.
- You have a proven track record of bringing multiple, complex consumer/electro-mechanical products from concept to production and have extensive experience in NDP, NPI), and supporting QE functions of in-field products for continuous improvement showcases your dedication to excellence.
- You will have knowledge of robust and repeatable production practices, quality assurance principles and experience with communication and management of overseas manufacturing (Asia)
- Your creativity knows no bounds, and your enthusiasm for tackling challenging projects drives you to explore new technologies and implement groundbreaking solutions.
- You thrive in a collaborative environment and can lead small design teams to success while also being capable of taking initiatives and working autonomously
- We use Solidworks here, so experience using the software is important.
