Job Description

  • Bring your passion and feel the energy
  • Sydney-based, Barangaroo office, hybrid role
  • Join the high performing BWS marketing team

If your camera roll is full of draft TikToks and you actually know how to turn internet culture into brand impact, this role is for you.

The BWS Marketing team is looking for a sharp Content Specialist to own our social channels and help bring our content strategy to life. You’ll manage agency partnerships, drive influencer relationships, and act as our eyes and ears for all things pop culture. You’ll lead shoots for social content and work with the wider BWS team to pitch creative ideas.

But you’re not just briefing the pros, you’re in the mix yourself. Whether you're capturing fast-turnaround BTS content at a Cool Room event, editing on CapCut, or testing out the latest native platform tools, you know how to make lo-fi content look high-tier.

It’s not just TikTok tracks and memes, though. You’ll also dive into data, trends, and audience insights to report on performance and help elevate the BWS brand across our entire digital ecosystem.

You’ll be key in maintaining a consistent voice across digital platforms, optimising content, managing projects end-to-end, and using your insights to keep our socials fresh and engaging.

Sound good? Read on.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Social Ownership: Lead the day-to-day execution of the BWS social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Content & Campaign Planning: Manage publishing calendars, ensuring content is timely, engaging, and aligned with campaigns and cultural moments.
  • Brand Translation: Translate overarching brand campaigns into social-first executions that drive participation and cultural relevance.
  • Tone & Consistency: Maintain BWS’s distinct social tone of voice and ensure creative consistency across all platforms.
  • Activation Delivery: Own the production and delivery of campaign comms assets for key initiatives like Cool Room, Nice Drops, and BWYASSS.
  • Agency Collaboration: Brief and coordinate with creative agencies (Present Company, BMF, S&E) on the development of EDMs, retail media screens, homepage banners, e-comm assets, and POS comms.
  • Project Management: Manage timelines and approvals to ensure assets land on time, in line with brand guidelines and campaign strategy.
  • Agile Content Creation: Complement agency production by capturing and editing original, "social-first" content (Reels, TikToks) to fill gaps in the calendar or react to real-time trends.
  • Cultural Agility: Act as the team’s go-to trend spotter, identifying memes and cultural moments that BWS can authentically lean into.
  • Community Management: Manage BWS social community engagement, responding to audience interactions in our brand voice and escalating issues as needed.
  • Creative Monitoring: Identify and leverage UGC, trends, and competitor activity to keep BWS content fresh, relevant, and ahead of the curve.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with E-comm, Trade, and Retail Media teams to integrate social content into the full marketing ecosystem, trade planning cycle, and commercial opportunities.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track social performance across reach, engagement, shares, saves, and sentiment to inform future content decisions.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong social copywriting skills with a sharp eye for brand tone and nuances.
