Job Description
Role Purpose
The VMO Lead plays a key role in supporting the effective governance and performance transparency of Endava’s Strategic Delivery programmes. This role is responsible for producing accurate, timely, and data-driven governance outputs across high-value, multi-year engagements.
The VMO Lead ensures that programme reporting, risk tracking, and performance data are structured, consistent, and aligned to Endava’s Strategic Assurance delivery standards. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality governance artefacts, analysing delivery trends, and providing clear insights to support informed decision-making.
This position operates as a specialist contributor within the VMO, strengthening delivery predictability and transparency through disciplined reporting, analytical rigour, and continuous improvement of governance processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assurance and Governance Execution
- Maintain Strategic Assurance governance artefacts including RAID logs, action trackers, and reporting packs
- Support preparation of governance forums and steering committee material
- Ensure adherence to agreed delivery schedules, milestones, and stage gates.
- Conduct regular health checks, quality reviews, and progress assessments.
- Facilitate and coordinate formal gate reviews, ensuring readiness criteria are met.
- Provide assurance reporting to stakeholders on schedule integrity, quality controls, and overall delivery confidence.
2. Framework & Standards Management
- Maintain and evolve the delivery framework to ensure it remains practical, scalable, and aligned to organisational needs.
- Develop, update, and govern templates, tools, and artefacts to support consistent implementation.
- Ensure frameworks and associated documentation remain current, relevant, and aligned to industry best practice.
- Conduct periodic reviews and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Promote adoption and consistent application of standards across teams.
3. Performance Reporting & Insights
- Produce high-quality dashboards covering delivery performance, risk exposure, and overall health
- Analyse data to identify trends, inconsistencies, or emerging issues.
- Support implementation and adoption of AI-enabled reporting tools.
- Provide structured insight summaries to VMO and Delivery leadership.
4. Risk and Change Management
- Lead structured change control processes, ensuring all programme changes are evaluated, documented, and communicated effectively.
- Monitor and report on mitigation plans, escalating critical risks as appropriate
- Contribute to predictive risk modelling and scenario planning for strategic decision-making.
5. Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
- Work closely with Delivery Leads, Client Partners, Commercial, Finance, and Assurance teams.
- Ensure alignment between delivery reporting and commercial commitments.
- Support client-facing governance meetings through accurate and well-structured reporting materials
6. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data quality.
- Contribute to automation and AI adoption initiatives within VMO.
- Share lessons learned and best practices across programmes.
- Support capability maturity initiatives within Strategic Delivery

- Increased adoption of AI-driven VMO insights and automation tools.

- Demonstrated improvement in programme execution efficiency.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in PMO, governance, portfolio reporting, or programme support roles.
- Proven ability to manage governance and performance across large-scale, multi-disciplinary programmes.
- Strong background in risk management, change control, and portfolio performance tracking.
- Exposure to AI-driven reporting or data-enabled environments.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, particularly within client-facing or outcome-based delivery contexts.
- Experience in technology, financial services, or payments industries desirable.
